Marybetts Sinclair, LMT, recently had an article published in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies (2011) 15, 436-445 entitled “The use of abdominal massage to treat chronic constipation.” According to the journal summary, abdominal massage may be a desirable therapy for this condition because it is inexpensive, non-invasive, free of harmful side effects, and can be performed by patients themselves.
